For nearly a decade, Colossal Waste was Jeff Howard's official travel & food blog. My now ex-wife Barbara is one of the premiere travel agents in Hollywood with fabulous and important clients. This meant that Barbara & I had to fly around the world visiting the same fabulous cities, staying in the same fabulous hotels, and eating at the same fabulous restaurants as those Hollywood types.
As an amateur photographer and a person who likes to sit and write at the end of the day, I did my best to chronicle everything we saw while traveling the world. Barbara still travels, but now I've grown roots in a new life. When I do travel the pictures go on BlueSky, Instagram & Facebook, while most of my time is spent running two film festivals and a non-profit.
Colossal Waste is now dormant, but I'm delighted to have chronicled all 274 days of travel during my time with Barbara. It's more than a little fun to know that there was a time when the Waste was pulling in thousands of strangers and pics were getting tons of random views on Google search. My only regret is that I never had time to get the African trip from 2008 onto here.
The Waste is now an archive of a past life. I leave you with the "Quick Guide" to the world of travel that is Colossal Waste.
